On Saturday, May 30, 2009, Jason Dahlke and his teammate entered and won our inaugural Energy Adventure Challenge at Ft. McAllister Historic Park in Richmond Hill. Several months later, Jason was killed in Afghanistan while serving our country. It is with great honor, through the permission of his family, that we have renamed the event: The Staff Sgt. Jason Dahlke Memorial Energy Adventure Challenge.

Race Description
LONG COURSE (4 Hour Race)
The Jason Dahlke Energy Adventure Challenge is a unique combination of checkpoint finding and physical challenges. Compass skills are required. The 4 hour race will be on Hunter Army Airfield. Enjoy a tough course for both beginners and experts. While distances will not be disclosed, as is part of the challenge of the race and due to varying distances based on navigation skills, you can expect approximately, 4-6 miles of trekking, 12-15 miles of biking and 1-2 miles of kayaking.
