​Race Description

Last One Standing Adventure race is modeled after the TV show Survivor!  Contestants will begin Saturday morning at 10am and continue until 4pm Sunday afternoon.  Contestants will compete in physical, mental and social events in an elimination format.  As contestants are eliminated; they will leave the event until only one contestant remains as the “Last One Standing” and the winner of the adventure race! The event will be physically and mentally grueling!
 

Registration

$75 - per person through July 1st

$85 - per person after July 1st

 

 

 

 

 



Race Proceeds

We are proud supporters of the SUA Sponte Foundation. 

Portions of the proceeds from the race will go to this foundation. 

The mission of the 1/75 Sua Sponte Foundation is to support the

men of the 1st Ranger Battalion and their families. Concentrating

on the needs of those wounded or killed in the line of duty and their families.

 

When

TBA @ 10AM and ending at 4pm on Sunday (Note: some contestants may be eliminated within the first hour or at any point during the 30 hours of the event!)

 

Schedule of Events

Saturday, 

9am - 9:30am Packet Pick-Up and Sign-In

9:45am Mandatory Meeting

10:00am Event Begins
4pm (Sunday 27th) Winner and Post Race Party

 

PRIOR to the Race

All contestants must apply.  There will be a limited number of participants.  You must register and pay in advance.  You will be selected, placed on a waiting list or not admitted to the race. If you are not admitted to the race or placed on the waiting list and do not get in, you will receive a complete refund of your money. Once you register, you will receive an email with detailed questions.  Once the email is answered, you will be placed in one of the three categories and notified.

 

AFTER the Race

The winner will be declared at 4pm on Sunday.  All contestants are encouraged to return to Fort McAllister by 3:30pm on Sunday to see the winner announced. 

 

Gear List

Mandatory Individual Gear

  • Container to carry at least 2 liters of water

  • Mountain bike

  • Helmet

  • Compass

  • Waterproof map case

  • Whistle

Only Other Gear Allowed

  • Clothes you are wearing; including outside shell (sweat shirt/ racing shirt etc), shoes, socks etc...

  • Hat

  • Sunglasses

  • Sun Screen

As you can see this means no cell phone, electronic devices, bug spray, food, weapons, drinks, medication (unless pre-approved), sleeping aids (ie. Tents, sleeping bags), no items to make fires, no items to create light and no nothing else that you are creatively trying to circumvent my “no list” with!!!

 

Rules

Rules are written to ensure the safety and integrity of the racers, Energy Oasis, volunteers, event staff and facility of participation (Fort McAllister).

  • The race director reserves the right to change the rules or the course at anytime. 

  • All decisions by the race director are final.

  • The winner of the Last man standing Adventure race shall be the last individual not eliminated

  • The race will last 30 hours for the winner.  Every other contestant can be eliminated at any point during the 30 hours (this includes the possibility of being eliminated within the first hour of the event!

  • In case of emergency individuals are required to help.

  • All racers and spectators must follow a leave-no trace ethic.

  • Helmets must be worn properly during all mountain biking legs.

  • All team members must properly wear pfd during any kayaking.

  • Improper conduct physical or verbal will not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate removal from the event.  No refunds will be given.

  • This event while modeled after Survivor the show is unique in presentation and is not associated with the TV show and or CBS.

Parking is on us!

You do, however, need to stop at the gate, tell them that you are participating in the Adventure race and they will give you a pass for the two days!
